During the winter break, several Rainier Clatskanie Youth Soccer Club Board Members have indicated that they will not be able to return for the upcoming fall season.  It is imperative that we fill their positions for the club to continue and we would like to remind you that if there is no Soccer Board, there can be no Soccer Club. We need volunteers...college students with soccer experience or an adult interested in helping children in the Clatskanie and Rainier develop a love for soccer, as well as Parents, Grandparents and Siblings are welcome.  High school students interested in assisting a soccer coach would also be welcome.

 Positions that need to be filled include:  President, Secretary, Treasurer, Registration Committee, Micro Coordinator, Rainier Field Coordinator, Coaches and Referees, Webmaster and some folks to organize one-off tasks like the fundraiser, uniforms, photo day, jamboree and first aid kits.  When all positions are filled, none are particularly difficult. But only two or three persons, no matter how dedicated, cannot bring you the quality program that your child deserves.  If we do not find replacements for vacating board members, we will be forced to refer players to the Longview league this fall.

 Will we continue to have a club?  It is up to you.  If the opportunity for your child to play soccer is important to you, and especially if you are the parent of a young player with years of eligibility ahead of them, we encourage you to get involved, keep the club alive for your kids and those to come, as others have done before you.

 Interested persons should plan to attend the club's Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, March 16 at 7:00pm in the Clatskanie Elementary School Cafeteria.  Election of board members takes place at this important meeting.
